About Dark Angel

Dark Angel

Dark Angel

Here is a list of some totally random stuff about me:

* I have a love/hate relationship with oranges.
* I’m not a vegetarian but I prefer vegetarian pizzas and pies to meat ones.
* I’m a really rubbish driver.
* Have always been and will always be a New Kids On The Block fan despite loving rock music.
* I’m famous for my cocktails and canapés.
* I think Marks and Sparks fruit is amazing.
* My accent transcends three London regions…
* …although my husband thinks I sound too American (his fault!)
* I initially hated social media… now I’m a media whore!
* One half of me is very black lace, leather and vodka…
* … and the other half wants to be Felicity Kendall!
* I am obsessed with angels.
* I love my job and often arrive an hour earlier than necessary…
* … which is funny because usually I’m always late for everything!
* I cannot stand rude people.
* My husband is the man of my dreams (and not Jordan Knight or Channing Tatum like he thinks!)
* Everyone always says that the way in which my husband and I met and fell in love is the stuff movies are made of – and I agree.
* If I had one wish it would be to throw a massive party and have everyone who means something to me to be there.
* I’m big on nostalgia (in case you couldn’t tell!)
* I cannot travel on the tube without a book.
* I detest plain sparkling water.
* I may be known for being a girly girl but I don’t own a single lipstick and haven’t done so since I was fifteen.

    We are mutual admirers of the comedy TV writing of Adrienne Conway, who wrote Streets Apart, about which you commented so nicely.
    I was astonished at your reference to my book, So You Think You Know English–A Guide to English for Those Who Think They Don’t Need One. I was also interested in your status as a teacher of English.
    If you would be kind enough to furnish me with a mailing address, I’d be happy to send you a complimentary copy of that book. Also, if you can handle an e-book, I’d be equally pleased to send you a copy of my debut novel, Slipping on Stardust.
    All the best.

      That is so kind of you. I don’t know what to say, although I think thank you might be a good place to start! I will send you my details. I’ve been working as a private English tutor for five years and now work in an ELT college. I am so lucky that I absolutely love what I do.
      And many thanks for your kind comments regarding the piece I did on Streets Apart. So glad it was enjoyed; it makes what I do worthwhile.
      And yes, Ms. Conway is super talented!

      Congrats on your debut novel – still working on mine! 🙂
